Meet the Faculty
Pamela Cosman is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UCSD,
as well as the Associate Dean for Students of the Jacobs School of Engineering. She received her Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1993 and has been on the faculty
at UCSD since 1995. Her research is in the areas of image and video processing
and wireless communications.
Pankaj Das is a Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at UCSD since 1999. He received his Ph.D. from Calcutta University India in 1964. He was a faculty member at Brooklyn Polytechnic 1964-1968, University of Rochester 1968-1973, and Rensselaer Polytechnic 1974-1998. He was also a visiting Professor in Mexico City 1973 and at West Point 1996-1997. Prof. Das has been a Ph.D. advisor to 31 students in the general area of SAW devices, Signal processing, Acousto-optics and communication.
Charles Tu is a Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at the UCSD Jacobs School of Engineering. He joined the UCSD faculty in 1988, and was an Associate Dean of the Jacobs School from 2004 to 2013, after serving from 1999 to 2003 as Chair of the ECE department. Prof. Tu's research interests include novel III-V compound semiconductor heterostructures and nanostructures for electronic, optoelectronic and photovoltaic devices.
